Our bodies are our friends! No really… they are. But due to the crazy culture around us we are trained from an early age to think our bodies are wrong in some way. When we are fighting our bodies we are working against ourselves which is not a happy place to be.
Sometimes we can know what is healthy to eat and not eat, and we can know what exercise would benefit us, but something in us is blocking us from doing what we know is helpful. This is where hypnosis can help. Together we can explore what beliefs are at work and how the body is carrying burdens of low self-worth or old habits of “eating” our feelings.
Learning to listen with kindness and compassion to our body’s messages is key to healing this rift. Gradually we can learn to recognise it’s signals to us which tell us when we are hungry when we are full and what food it really needs as opposed to foods we think it wants.
Using hypnosis, we can rehearse new healthier patterns of behaviour and self-care. We can explore kinder more skilful beliefs about our bodies, and we can get on our own side bringing a powerful self-worth to this amazing experience of being an embodied being!
