School resistance and anxiety can happen for a number of reasons. Our nervous systems get dysregulated, and we go into a fight, flight, or freeze response.
We can feel a sense of being besieged and struggling to crawl through each day.
But did you know our poor nervous systems are just LONGING for us to pause, take a deep breath and gently bring them back to regulation and safety. Coming to therapy is a chance to learn some cool techniques which can help us to feel safe and calm. These are practices that have been used by meditators for thousands of years and are safe and easy to learn. Then together we can chat about what is worrying you about school. Sessions are completely confidential and as long as you or no one else is in harm’s way you can tell me anything and we can find a way to solve the problems that at first looks too overwhelmingly difficult to face.
